Abstract

Purpose

Pervasive analytics act as a prominent role in computer-aided prediction of non-communicating diseases. In the early stage, arrhythmia diagnosis detection helps prevent the cause of death suddenly owing to heart failure or heart stroke. The arrhythmia scope can be identified by electrocardiogram (ECG) report.

Design/methodology/approach

The ECG report has been used extensively by several clinical experts. However, diagnosis accuracy has been dependent on clinical experience. For the prediction methods of computer-aided heart disease, both accuracy and sensitivity metrics play a remarkable part. Hence, the existing research contributions have optimized the machine-learning approaches to have a great significance in computer-aided methods, which perform predictive analysis of arrhythmia detection.

Findings

In reference to this, this paper determined a regression heuristics by tridimensional optimum features of ECG reports to perform pervasive analytics for computer-aided arrhythmia prediction. The intent of these reports is arrhythmia detection. From an empirical outcome, it has been envisioned that the project model of this contribution is more optimal and added a more advantage when compared to existing or contemporary approaches.

Abstract

Purpose

Patient treatment trajectory data are used to predict the outcome of the treatment to particular disease that has been carried out in the research. In order to determine the evolving disease on the patient and changes in the health due to treatment has not considered existing methodologies. Hence deep learning models to trajectory data mining can be employed to identify disease prediction with high accuracy and less computation cost.

Design/methodology/approach

Multifocus deep neural network classifiers has been utilized to detect the novel disease class and comorbidity class to the changes in the genome pattern of the patient trajectory data can be identified on the layers of the architecture. Classifier is employed to learn extracted feature set with activation and weight function and then merged on many aspects to classify the undetermined sequence of diseases as a new variant. The performance of disease progression learning progress utilizes the precision of the constituent classifiers, which usually has larger generalization benefits than those optimized classifiers.

Findings

Deep learning architecture uses weight function, bias function on input layers and max pooling. Outcome of the input layer has applied to hidden layer to generate the multifocus characteristics of the disease, and multifocus characterized disease is processed in activation function using ReLu function along hyper parameter tuning which produces the effective outcome in the output layer of a fully connected network. Experimental results have proved using cross validation that proposed model outperforms methodologies in terms of computation time and accuracy.

Originality/value

Proposed evolving classifier represented as a robust architecture on using objective function to map the data sequence into a class distribution of the evolving disease class to the patient trajectory. Then, the generative output layer of the proposed model produces the progression outcome of the disease of the particular patient trajectory. The model tries to produce the accurate prognosis outcomes by employing data conditional probability function. The originality of the work defines 70% and comparisons of the previous methods the method of values are accurate and increased analysis of the predictions.

Abstract

This chapter explores the presentation of women's violence in Tamil mega serials. Tamil mega serials are produced in India and aired six days a week on satellite television channels. The story revolves around households with extended families living together and issues affecting women such as family well-being, motherhood and fertility. Women mostly take the role of the main protagonist and antagonist in Tamil serials. This chapter analyses the presentation of violence in 10 episodes of Chandralekha, a Tamil mega serial. Perpetrators of violence in Tamil serials are mainly female antagonists and other characters supporting the antagonists. The rivalry between the protagonist and antagonist centres around the struggle for property or the love of or marriage with a man. The type of violence ranges from mild to severe kinds of physical violence, and non-physical violence. The presentation of violence in Tamil serials reflects gender inequality in society. The meaning of some forms of violence in mega serials is closely related to the traditional gender roles and notion of traditional femininity in society.

Abstract

Purpose

Digital computing and machine learning-driven predictive analysis in the diagnosis of non-communicable diseases are gaining significance. Globally many research studies are focusing on developing comprehensive models for such detection. Categorically in the proposed diagnosis for arrhythmia, which is a critical diagnosis to prevent cardiac-related deaths, any constructive models can be a value proposition. In this study, the focus is on developing a holistic system that predicts the scope of arrhythmia from the given electrocardiogram report. The proposed method is using the sequential patterns of the electrocardiogram elements as features.

Design/methodology/approach

Considering the decision accuracy of the contemporary classification methods, which is not adequate to use in clinical practices, this manuscript coined a new dimension of features to perform supervised learning and classification using the AdaBoost classifier. The proposed method has titled “Electrocardiogram stream level correlated patterns as features (ESCPFs),” which takes electrocardiograms (ECGs) signal streams as input records to perform supervised learning-based classification to detect the arrhythmia scope in given ECG record.

Findings

From the results and comparative reports generated for the study, it is evident that the model is performing with higher accuracy compared to some of the earlier models. However, focusing on the emerging solutions and technologies, if the accuracy factors for the model can be improved, it can lead to compelling predictions and accurate outcome from the process.

Originality/value

The authors represent complete automatic and rapid arrhythmia as classifier, which could be applied online and examine long ECG records sequence efficiently. By releasing the needs for extraction of features, the authors project an application based on raw signals, one result to heart rates date, whose objective is to lessen computation time when attaining minimum classification error outcomes.
